We acknowledge and appreciate the effort Welcome Homes, in particular Colin Bertram, Owner, put into the development of our plans to create our dream home.
 
We found Colin to be a wealth of information with excellent practical skills. He managed to achieve cost effective outcomes to some quite different ideas we had for our home. We were trying to create a house within a budget but still maintaining a point of difference. Some of our ideas incorporated were Cedar Lintels, Cedar covered posts and beams, House to outdoor room connection, the Bagged finish on the exterior brick work, to the smooth tread finishing between exterior joinery and interior flooring.
 
Colin communicated his thoughts well both at the office and at on site visits once construction had commenced, to discuss each individual detail.
 
The professional team at Welcome Homes worked with us to achieve our fabulous dream home. All our ideas have been incorporated and within budget!

We weren’t seriously considering using a building company to build our dream home until a chance meeting with Welcome Homes opened our eyes to what they could offer.  An initial discussion highlighted the wealth of experience and expertise we could use to facilitate a much more informed decision making process.  We had specific site requirements and a number of criteria we wanted to achieve. With lots of good advice and product options across all price ranges we worked on our concept plan until we were satisfied we had achieved our dream house for our site, lifestyle and budget. We would never have achieved our goal within budget without the flexibility and guidance of the whole Welcome Homes team. There was nothing that was too hard or out of the question, instead we found guidance, ideas, validation and options. Once the concept plan was finished we were then able to make more modifications in order to fine tune so that we are now well along the way to seeing our concept come to life.

We have recently built our new home with the Hamilton firm Welcome Homes. We would like to say what a great group of people they were to work with and would have no hesitation what so ever in recommending them as a building company.
 
When we first visited their (Welcome Homes) show home  we were impressed with the workmanship and finish of the home. It is often said that a show home finish is not what you actually get when you build, as firms do that to show off their capability, but not necessarily what they carry out on all jobs. We can honestly say the finish to our home is at least equal to, if not better, than what we observed in the show home. We say ‘better’ because we were able to note the changes that we would like and when they were carried out as specified, we believe we ended up with a home (product) that was at least to the standard we had noted in the show home. They certainly live up to their statement of intent of ‘completing work above the industry standard and requirement’.
 
At all stages of the building project the Welcome Home team treated us with respect and honesty. If at any time there was something we were unsure about, or a minor discrepancy in what we had intended, they listened to our ideas and without hesitation carried out our wishes. To complete a project the size of our home and feel that we have now made a new of group of friends is testimony to the professionalism of the company.
 
We wish Welcome Homes all the best in the future and are more than happy to recommend them to family, friends and others.

We have no hesitation to say that we are one hundred percent satisfied with our new house we built through Welcome Homes. It is more than a year since we moved in and we have not had any problems so far. We had a very friendly rapport with the team during and after the construction.
 
We imported products for our home and the team at Welcome Homes and their sub-trades had a no fuss attitude to what we wanted to achieve and they worked with us to achieve our vision. We had many variations on our job which were presented to us and signed off with our approval before any variation work went ahead. This eliminated any surprises and also gave us the ability to explore other possible options available. The Team always had a "no fuss can do attitude”. We are very happy with our exquisite family home.

Having recently moved into our new home we would most certainly recommend Welcome Homes to anyone contemplating building.  From our initial introductory meeting with their sales rep through to receiving our keys from Colin himself we would have to say our experience was one for good memories.  Throughout the process we always felt it was very much a team effort and that the lines of communication were always open.  Colin and their wonderful team always made us feel as though what we were achieving together was not only special to us but to them as well.
 
One of the great things about our experience was that when paying the final installment there were no “nasty” surprises, any variations to the price had been well discussed and documented along the way allowing for us to budget accordingly.

If you are embarking on a house building journey, it can be intimidating - particularly if you have not done it for awhile. If you are considering using Welcome Homes then we think you are on the right track. From the initial contact, we found dealing with Colin extremely easy. He made several suggestions which helped us finalise the design of our house and helped our budget.

This house is the fourth house we have built and we were well aware that things don’t always go smoothly. Our hope was that at the end of the project that we would be as positive with our builder as when we started. Right from the ground works, we found the organization of the contractors and subcontractors went smoothly, on time (as much as can be expected in this building boom) and in general very good quality. As the project progresses we made a few changes which were all handled with minimal disruption.

In summary we are very pleased with the quality, the ease of getting in contact and quick response of Colin and his team. We have no hesitation in recommending him to any prospective home builder.
