These three buildings have the same floor area of 100m2. But with different perimeters and geometry they vary by as much as 22% in cost.
While each design creates a floor area of 100m2, the perimeter of house A measures 40 lineal meters, while house B’s is 12 percent greater at 50 lineal meters and house C’s perimeter at 52 lineal meters is 14.4 percent greater than house A.
